On 21st September 2013, Google Play Store made the BBM app available to be downloaded by Android and Iphone users.However it was an unreleased version where it was then disabled after the next 24 hours.USA TODAY reported that the unofficial version saw 1.1 million active users in the first 8 hours.
So for the lucky users who have downloaded the app can continue to use it.
Good news for those Android and Iphone users who missed the opportunity to download the BBM app.
Blackberry will begin a staggered country roll-out of BBM for Android and Iphone soon.
